We're looking for two Overnight Technical Support Representatives who can support our customers via phone and email. We pay above industry wage depending on your experience - we're very generous to dedicated staff and reward accordingly.

Our overnight team work a rotating night shift 4 days on/4 days off, ideal if you value extra time off each week or time to study, and a great opportunity to learn more about the web hosting industry and the technologies that we use hands on. 

Whilst customer support is the main focus of this role, you'll develop the skills to take over where our day shift Sys Admin team left off, ensuring that our customers and systems are supported 24-7.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting Shared/Cloud, VPS and Dedicated hosting customers via email and telephone.
  • Diagnosing, and resolving where possible, Web, DNS and MySQL server issues
  • Performing server management tasks for customers
  • Assisting with manual migrations of customer accounts from other hosting providers 
  • Assisting with internal migrations of customer accounts between DP Servers
  • Creating and maintaining clearly documented procedures for both staff and customer support areas

  • Dell PowerEdge Blade Servers
  • Dell Equallogic SAN's (SSD Based)
  • Multi DC Redundant technologies
  • Other cool technologies that we play with in our lab

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in the above duties and technologies
  • A working understanding of the Linux and Windows operating systems
  • A working knowledge of the various tools utilized by the web hosting industry, in particular cPanel/WHM, Plesk, WHMCS, Kayako Resolve (ticket system)
  • Familiarity and comfort in using the Linux shell
  • A moderately advanced knowledge in Networking, DNS & server management.
  • Great communication skills, both written and spoken, and a customer service focus
  • Confidence and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Experience in the web hosting industry is preferred but not essential
